David Parker, CEO Polymath Consulting (Moderator)

David is a payments and payment cards expert and is particularly well-known for his work in emerging payments, E-money and prepaid cards covering mobile money/mobile wallets and Mpos. A regular Chair and speaker at conferences around the world, David has also extensively supported and advised SMEs on their payments projects for over 20 years. Increasingly engaged in Fintech, he is an active NED, Board Advisor, Mentor and Investor (and brings a strong customer focused perspective to his projects)”.

Kai Zhang, Special Counsel, K&L Gates (Panelist)

A member of the Payments, Banking Regulation and Consumer Financial Services practice group, Kai specializes in financial services regulation, focuses his practice on the payments and e-money regulatory frameworks including the Payment Services Directive, Wire Transfer Regulation and Electronic Money Directive. He has extensive experience in advising a variety of payment service firms on issues such as authorisation, conduct of business requirements, the open banking regime and operational compliance issues as well as cryptocurrency-related matters.

John Broxis, Managing Director, Open Banking Europe (Panelist)

John is an accomplished payments professional with expertise in open banking, regulatory compliance, alternative payment methods and bringing together API providers and users. He previously held senior positions at Logica and EBA Clearing before moving to PRETA where he was managing director and ran MyBank. He then launched the Open Banking Europe initiative acquired by Konsentus in January 2021.

Amit Mallick, Managing Director – Global Open Banking & API Lead (Panelist)

Amit has over 20 years of consulting and technology experience in the financial services industry. He currently leads Accenture’s Open Banking/Open API business globally and has expertise in Open Banking, PSD2 and the associated API economy. Amit is currently engaged with the many of the top international banks’ ad regulators in addressing the Open Banking and Open API agenda and has been involved in multiple projects involving Open Banking strategy & operating model, Open Banking consent management, API technology enablement and API ecosystem setup.
