Job Description – Business Development Manager, International
Konsentus is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager, International, to drive the global growth of Konsentus by identifying and securing new opportunities, managing relationships with clients and partners and driving revenue. You will focus on strategic planning, market research and developing strategies to expand our business internationally.
You should be passionate about innovation in financial services and eager to shape the evolving open banking and open finance landscape across diverse markets.
In this role, you will work closely with central banks, regulators, payment system providers, financial institutions and key market players to identify opportunities, build relationships and drive commercial success. You will represent Konsentus at the highest levels, lead complex engagements and deliver tangible value to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities: Research and pursue new clients, markets, and partnerships globally.
- Build and close high-value strategic partnerships: Foster strong, trust-based relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders and decision-makers and navigate sophisticated sales cycles, closing complex agreements that support business goals.
- Foster trusted relationships: Champion long-term collaboration with clients and partners, positioning Konsentus as a trusted advisor in global markets.
- Conduct market analysis and competitive research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes and customer needs in international markets.
- Reporting and forecasting: Track progress, analyse results and provide insights to senior management on a regular basis.

Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in business development, strategic partnerships and client relationship management within financial services, fintech, or consulting, with a focus on international or multi-market roles.
- Demonstrable success in navigating long and sophisticated relationship-based sales cycles to sell or promote complex solutions, ideally within financial services, banking, or financial technology environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at senior levels across diverse cultures.
- Highly organised with strong project management and leadership capabilities.
- An initiative-taking, entrepreneurial mindset with a keen sense of ownership and drive.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional languages relevant to target markets are highly desirable.
- The role can be based in any major international location with strong connectivity; regular travel is expected.
